Early October at Riviera Vines has a certain kind of magic. The vineyard views feel extra layered, the light is soft in the best way, and the whole property has this calm, welcoming energy that makes a wedding day feel effortless.
On October 4, 2025, Grant and Emily hosted a celebration that was equal parts elegant and genuinely fun. It was the kind of wedding that felt polished without ever feeling stiff, and personal without trying too hard.Cypress and Sage Event & Design supported the day-of coordination, working with the vendor team and timeline so Grant and Emily could stay focused on the moments, not the moving parts
The Ceremony: Vineyard Views, Real Emotion
Grant and Emily leaned into what Riviera Vines does best: a naturally stunning setting that doesn’t need over-decorating to feel special. Cypress and Sage managed ceremony timing and cues, coordinated the lineup, and handled the little last-minute adjustments so the ceremony started smoothly and stayed focused on the couple. The ceremony flowed beautifully, and the space gave guests clear sightlines while keeping the focus exactly where it belonged. The result was simple, timeless, and full of heart.
Cocktail Hour: Easy, Social, and Unrushed
Cocktail hour is where the day relaxes into itself, and Riviera Vines makes that feel natural. Guests could mingle, take in the scenery, and settle into the celebration without feeling like they were being shuffled from one moment to the next. During cocktail hour, Cypress and Sage kept the timeline on pace, communicated with catering and bar, and guided guest flow so the experience stayed relaxed without drifting or feeling rushed. The property supports a smooth flow, which matters more than people realize until they’ve attended a wedding that doesn’t have it.
The Reception: Warm, Personal, and Built for
Celebration
Emily is a kindergarten teacher, and one of the sweetest details of the day came from that part of her life: her students contributed pieces that became part of the reception centerpieces. Cypress and Sage helped incorporate the student-made pieces into the reception design so they felt intentional, stayed protected during setup, and looked polished once guests were seated. It added a meaningful, personal layer that guests immediately connected with, and it made the room feel even more “them.”
And then the party kicked in.
Grant and Emily brought the fun in ways that had guests fully invested: a glow moment on the dance floor that turned the reception into a full-on glow party, plus a t-shirt toss that had people cheering like it was a championship game. Cypress and Sage coordinated the timing with DJ Hood and the vendor team so the glow moment and t-shirt toss hit at the right time, kept the room energized, and didn’t interrupt dinner, toasts, or key transitions. It was playful, unexpected, and exactly the kind of detail that keeps energy high all night.
Portraits Around the Property
One of the biggest advantages of Riviera Vines is how photo-friendly the property is without requiring travel time. Grant and Emily were able to capture a variety of looks right on-site, which meant more time enjoying the day and less time disappearing for photos. Early October light at the vineyard made everything feel soft and editorial without needing to force it.
